When I use the search engine sites, like Google, Yahoo, or others, and click-on to the results, I never get to to right website on the first try. It always jumps to some other website and not the one that I clicked on. It usually doesn't get to the right location until after the 3rd try. I am currently using windows98 on a Dell, Web PC computer.

you have a virus or spyware on your computer. run your anti-virus program then your anti-spyware program. if you don't have one go to.

I'd say you have some spyware, http://www.downloads.com has a progam on there called ad-aware, download it and run it and it will find most spyware and clear it off your machine.

You have what is called a Hijacker on your machine. Maybe Cool Web Search. These little nasties take you to sites who pay them to catch you. Are you actually using the genuine Google search bar http://www.google.com or are you using a search bar that just "appeared" under your address bar? I'd go for Spybot because Ad-aware is also a commercial program and they've had a lot of trouble with hijackers in the courts over the years. Ad-aware is probably not able to remove some hijackers for legal reasons, whilst Spybot is not so restricted. Don't get me wrong. Adaware is a great program, but so is Spybot.
